Electric conversion of a 1960 MGB Roadster car

I am starting to convert a small car to electric drive. The car is a MGB Roadster from the 1960s.
So far I have rebuilt the gearbox with a modified input shaft (clutch removed) to allow direct coupling of the motor shaft to gearbox.
I have also fabricated an adapter plate for the ME1616 motor.
I have two SEVCON GEN4 controllers currently 634A44203 and 634A83310. I will probably need a more powerful controller to drive the car to an acceptable performance however.
